That's why we created the 5-star rating system. Instead of a binary swipe left or right, you rate profiles from 1 to 5 stars. A match only happens when both people give each other 5 stars — the highest possible rating. This means every match on Geesly represents genuine mutual interest, not just a casual swipe.

How Our Matching Algorithm Works
Transparency matters to us. Here's exactly how Geesly decides which profiles to show you:
Preference Filtering
First, we filter based on the preferences you set: gender, age range, distance (up to 300km), and body type. You'll only see profiles that match what you're looking for.
Location Priority
People closer to you appear first. We use geolocation to prioritize showing you matches within a realistic meeting distance, making in-person dates actually possible.
Rating Score
Users who receive higher average ratings from others are shown more prominently. This creates a natural incentive to put effort into your profile — good photos, thoughtful bios, and genuine information all help you get noticed.
Activity & Freshness
Active users get priority. If someone hasn't been on Geesly recently, they'll appear lower in your feed. This means the people you see are actually online and ready to connect.
Monthly Reset
Every month on the 1st, matches and ratings reset (except active chats). This gives everyone a fresh start and ensures you're always seeing new faces — even if you've been on the app for months.
Understanding the 5-Star Rating System
Our rating system is what makes Geesly unique. Instead of a simple like/pass binary, you express your level of interest on a scale. Here's what each rating means:
Not interested right now. The person won't know you rated them, and they won't appear in your feed again this month.
You're interested! This counts as a "like" and the other person will see that someone liked them (but not who, unless they're premium).
This is the big one. When you give someone 5 stars AND they give you 5 stars back, it's an instant match. You'll both be notified and can start chatting immediately.
Every 12 profiles you rate earns you 1 Corn — our virtual currency — regardless of the rating you give. So even passing on someone contributes to your progress.
What Are Corns?
Corns are Geesly's virtual currency. We named them "Corns" because, like kernels of corn, small things can grow into something amazing. Corns are the fuel that powers your Geesly experience beyond the basics.
How to Earn Corns (Free)
- ● Rate profiles: Every 12 profiles you rate earns you 1 Corn automatically. Just browse naturally and your balance grows.
- ● Watch rewarded ads: Choose to watch a short video ad and earn 1 Corn instantly. Completely optional — you're never forced to watch ads.
- ● Premium bonus: Subscribers receive bonus Corns as part of their subscription.
How to Spend Corns
- ● Unlock a chat (20 Corns): When you match with someone, use Corns to unlock the chat and start messaging.
- ● Bypass hourly limit (20 Corns): Normally you can rate 6 profiles per hour. Spend Corns to unlock 6 more ratings immediately.
- ● View full profile (5 Corns): See all of someone's photos and detailed information before deciding on a rating.
